Here’s What Anxiety Can Feel Like…

anxiety avoidance comfort manifestation social withdrawal Sep 24, 2025

Hey Friends!

Anxiety can feel like a never-ending cycle of worry and fear that can make even the simplest tasks feel daunting. Here are some examples of how anxiety can manifest:

🔍 Checking and rechecking: Anxiety can make you feel like you need to check things over and over again. For example, you might need to check if you locked the door multiple times before leaving, and still worry if you did it right later on. It's frustrating and time-consuming, right? 😫

🤐 Avoidance: Sometimes anxiety can make you want to avoid certain situations, like answering phone calls, even when it's right in your hand 📱. You might worry about saying the wrong thing or being judged, so you just can't bring yourself to pick up. It can be tough to deal with! 😖.

🙅‍♀️ Social withdrawal: Anxiety can also make you want to cancel plans with friends or family as the time gets closer. You might feel like you just can't handle being around people or worry about how you'll come across. It can be super isolating. 😔.

Need for comfort items: Anxiety can make you carry around things for emotional support - something they can be fidgeted with but something that’s low-key at the same time. Something like a water bottle!💧
