THERAPIST-LED. ASSESSMENT-DRIVEN. PERSONALIZED TO YOUR RELATIONSHIP.

Love brought you here. Preparation helps you build what comes next.

You may know where you’re getting married, what you’re wearing and who will be standing beside you. But do you know:

  • How you’ll handle money, debt and financial decisions?
  • What happens when one of you wants to talk and the other shuts down?
  • How you’ll divide household responsibilities and the mental load?
  • What fidelity means to each of you?
  • How you’ll navigate differences in sex, affection and desire?
  • Whether you agree about children, parenting and family involvement?
  • How you’ll protect your marriage when life becomes stressful?
  • How you’ll repair the relationship after one of you causes hurt?

Most couples don’t struggle because they lack love. They struggle because they enter marriage with expectations they’ve never discussed and challenges they haven’t learned how to navigate together. The Marriage Roadmap helps you have the conversations many couples wait until conflict forces them to have—so you can begin your marriage feeling informed, aligned and prepared for real life together.

The conversations you avoid before marriage do not disappear after the wedding.

Unspoken expectations eventually become lived expectations.

Many couples believe they agree because they have not yet discussed the details.

“We both want children” can hide very different expectations about timing, childcare, discipline, careers and family involvement.

“We’ll combine our finances” does not explain how debt, spending, saving, accounts or major purchases will be handled.

“We communicate well” may be true during calm seasons—but what happens when one of you is hurt, exhausted, overwhelmed or afraid?

The Marriage Roadmap gives you a structured space to have these conversations before assumptions become resentment.

YOUR PREMARITAL EXPERT

I'm Nancy Chopin & I didn’t create The Marriage Roadmap from clinical theory alone. My husband and I lived it from Dating to Engagement to Marriage.

I’m a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) and Relationship Coach with over 17 years of experience helping couples understand each other more deeply, change the patterns that threaten connection and build relationships strong enough to withstand the hard seasons—and loving enough to remain passionate through them.

But The Marriage Roadmap is more than another program I developed as a therapist. It is deeply personal to me.

Before my now-husband and I got married, we completed this process together. We became the first real-life couple behind The Marriage Roadmap—having the conversations, completing the exercises, exploring our differences and creating the agreements I now help other couples build.

And yes—I am still completely, madly in love with him.

I didn’t prepare so intentionally because something was wrong with our relationship. I prepared because our relationship was too important to leave to assumptions, good intentions or the hope that love alone would carry us through every season.

I wanted more than a beautiful wedding and memorable day. I wanted a marriage filled with passion, friendship, emotional safety, honesty and understanding. I wanted us to know how to remain connected when life felt easy—and how to find our way back to each other when life became difficult...

This Program Is For You If...

  • You are engaged, seriously considering engagement or newly married.
  • You want more than a basic premarital questionnaire.
  • You want an Expert-Level Married Therapist to help you navigate important differences.
  • You want honest conversations—not surface-level reassurance.
  • You want to understand your strengths and potential pressure points.
  • You want clear agreements about money, conflict, sex, parenting, roles and family.
  • You want to prepare for the marriage as intentionally as you are preparing for the wedding.
  • You are willing to complete meaningful preparation between appointments.

You do not need to be in crisis...

In fact, one of the best times to strengthen a relationship is before disconnection, resentment or destructive patterns become deeply established.

Premarital counseling is not an admission that your relationship is failing. It is an investment in the life you are choosing together.

YES, I WANT IN!

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

“We thought we had already talked about everything. Nancy's program uncovered assumptions about money, family, intimacy and responsibilities that neither of us realized we were making. Having those conversations before the wedding was one of the best decisions we made.”

- Nakia & Justin (posted with couple consent)

“One of us was excited about premarital counseling, and the other honestly thought we didn’t need it. By the end, we both said every engaged couple should do this. Nancy helped us talk about important things without making either of us feel blamed or judged. We feel closer, clearer and much more confident about the marriage we’re building.”

- Brandon & Avery (posted with couple consent)

“I didn’t realize how much of my anxiety about getting married came from all the things we kept saying we would ‘figure out later.’ This program helped us stop avoiding the details. We talked honestly about money, conflict, intimacy, family, children and responsibilities without the conversations turning into arguments. We didn’t leave feeling like a perfect couple—we left feeling like a prepared couple. That was exactly what I needed before saying ‘I do.’”

- Tiffany & Lee (posted with couple consent)

If You Start Now In The Next 6-12 Weeks You Could…

  • Have the conversations many couples do not have until years into marriage—or until something has already gone wrong.

  •  Understand each other in ways that might otherwise take years to uncover.

  • Know how to protect your connection when life gets hard.

  • Enter marriage with clear agreements for the future you are building.

  • Go from hoping your love will be enough to knowing how to care for it, fight for it and keep choosing each other through every season.
