Signs of Stress That People Don’t Talk About

Are you feeling a bit stressed out lately? 

Stress can manifest in many ways, some of which might surprise you.

1. Forgetfulness: 🧠 Ever find yourself misplacing your keys or completely forgetting an important appointment? Oops! It turns out that stress can play a role in memory lapses. So when you notice that you keep forgetting stuff constantly, it’s worth analyzing whether your mind is preoccupied with stress and anxiety. Take meaningful pauses to reset and refocus. 

2. Skin breakouts: 😱 Yikes! Stress can cause your skin to freak out, leading to breakouts and even worsening existing skin conditions like eczema or psoriasis. Your body is trying to tell you something! Hydrate as much as possible and find a skin care routine that is sustainable and affordable.

3. Changes in taste preferences: πŸ‘… Wait, what? Yes, you read that right! Stress can actually alter the way you perceive flavors. So if you find yourself craving salty or sweet treats more often when you're stressed, it's not just your imagination – your taste buds are feeling the pressure too! 🍫 Make healthy choices during high-stress moments and be sure to eat a wide variety of fruits and vegetables.

4. Weird dreams: πŸ’€ Ever have one of those bizarre, out-of-this-world dreams when stressed? Your subconscious might be trying to process all those overwhelming emotions, resulting in some pretty wild dreamscapes. So don't worry; you're not the only one with an overactive imagination! πŸŒ™ And no! You should definitely not consult a psychic to “interpret” the dreams... or if you are into that do it & report back how it goes! 

5. Stomach issues: 🀒 Did you know that stress can cause an uproar in your gut? When you're stressed, your body can struggle to digest food properly, leading to stomach aches, bloating, or even diarrhea. Of course, stomach troubles may also have other causes, so consult a doctor before writing it off as a symptom of stress! Just be mindful and see if you can spot a correlation between stressful periods and stomach troubles. Invest in a good probiotic and prebiotic and seek medical attention when needed.
