How To Find Out What You Are Good At?

self-discovery self-reflection skills Mar 27, 2024

Hey Friends,

I'm here to let you in on a little secret: finding your strengths is an active process. It's like a thrilling treasure hunt, and you're both the seeker and the treasure. Sure, some people may stumble upon their strengths accidentally, but I'd wager that most of us need to roll up our sleeves and dig in.

Here’s what you can do:

  1. Self-reflection 🤔: Start by looking inward. What comes naturally to you? When do you find yourself so deeply immersed in an activity that time seems to stand still? These "in the zone" moments can be golden clues to your true strengths.
  2. Embrace challenges 💪: You know that pesky comfort zone? It's time to bid it adieu. Trying new things, even if they make you nervous, is a fantastic way to uncover hidden talents. You probably are not going to find out new things about yourself unless you actually do new things!
  3. Take a test 📝: Tools like the Clifton Strengths or Myers-Briggs assessments can offer valuable insights into your natural abilities and preferences. Give them a whirl, and see what you uncover.
  4. Seek feedback from others 🗣️: Your friends, family, and colleagues can be invaluable sources of information about your strengths. They see you in ways you might not see yourself. So, don't be shy—ask for their input and listen carefully to what they have to say.

Remember that uncovering your strengths is a journey of self-discovery, and it's perfectly normal to feel a little lost at times. ✨.
